The coming days will be decisive for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at Paris Saint-Germain.
Talks are set to take place in Los Angeles, on the sidelines of the Club World Cup, between the player’s agent, Enzo Raiola, and PSG’s management regarding a possible contract extension.
Currently tied to the club until 2026, the Italian goalkeeper finds himself at a crucial crossroads in his Parisian career.
Salary Standoff
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Donnarumma’s camp is demanding a new contract worth €13 million per year, while PSG’s latest offer stands at €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses. That’s a significant gap—especially as the keeper currently earns between €10M and €12M gross annually, according to L’Équipe and Le Parisien.
Despite the deadlock, PSG has continued to highlight Donnarumma on its social platforms, signaling no public friction. But behind the scenes, the situation is tense. A resolution is expected in the coming days.
Plan B: Lucas Chevalier
If no agreement is reached, PSG is ready to pivot quickly. The club has reportedly identified Lucas Chevalier (Lille) as its top alternative. The pressure is on—both sides know this could be the final round of negotiations before a major decision is made.
