Dro Fernández Joins PSG, It’s Official!

Paris Saint-Germain have made the arrival of Dro Fernández official. The 18-year-old Spanish midfielder has signed with the Red & Blue until 2030 and will wear the number 27 shirt, confirming the club’s strategy focused on recruiting young, high-potential talents.

The big move of the transfer window is confirmed: Dro is heading to PSG. Born on January 12, 2008 in Nigrán, Spain, Pedro Fernández, nicknamed “Dro,” discovered football at the age of four at ED Val Miñor Nigrán before joining FC Barcelona in 2022. He continued his development there for three seasons and quickly established himself as a versatile midfielder, known for his technical quality, vision, and ability to operate between the lines.

Taking the Next Step in Paris

During the 2024–2025 season, at just 16 years old, he was promoted to Barcelona’s U19s and played a major role in winning the 2025 UEFA Youth League. In seven matches, he scored two goals, including a decisive one against Young Boys of Bern (4–2), and also contributed to the domestic double of the league and the Copa del Rey Juvenil.

His summer performances on the tour of Japan confirmed his potential at the highest level. He scored his first goal with FC Barcelona’s first team against Vissel Kobe on July 27, 2025, then made his official debut a few weeks later. To date, he has made five appearances for the Blaugrana, including one in the Champions League, where he delivered his first assist against Olympiakos on October 21, 2025.

On the international stage, Dro Fernández has established himself as a key figure in Spain’s youth teams. He has nine caps and four goals with the U17s, notably scoring the winning goal against Norway in the Euro 2025 qualifiers, before being promoted to the U18s. With a total of 24 official international caps across all age groups, Dro Fernández joins Paris Saint-Germain as one of European football’s brightest prospects, ready to take the next step in Red & Blue.
