In L’Équipe, Julian Alvarez (25 years old), now an offensive star for Atlético Madrid, has finally addressed the rumor that circulates every transfer window: Paris is considering him… and it’s not new.
“Yes, there have been discussions with PSG.” The Argentine Julian Alvarez acknowledged this openly, stating that Paris is interested in his profile: “When I signed with Atlético, there was a lot of talk about Paris. It’s true, there were discussions between PSG and my agent. They were interested, but it didn’t happen.”
The same goes for Barça: a lot of noise, no concrete movement. But a move is indeed possible. “We’ll see at the end of the season”: Alvarez leaves the door ajar. Under contract until 2030, the world champion assures he remains focused on Atlético.
But he doesn’t close any doors, quite the opposite: “We’ll take stock at the end of the season.” In other words: everything will depend on the context… and the offers.
Paris can believe it (and it has good reasons)
The file is not open yet, but one certainty stands: Alvarez has never rejected the idea of PSG. And his profile fits perfectly with Luis Enrique’s style: collective, versatile, huge work rate, natural pressing. If Paris is looking for an offensive reinforcement this summer and the Argentine is having a complicated season in Madrid… the stars could (finally) align.
