Kang-in Lee to Madrid, PSG’s Response

Atlético Madrid are pushing hard for Kang-in Lee… and are running into a PSG wall. The Parisian club has bolted the door shut for its Korean player.

The news has set Spain alight in recent hours: Atlético Madrid dream of signing Kang-in Lee. According to L’Équipe, the Colchoneros have even contacted PSG to test the waters. It’s an old file, as the Madrid club were already tracking the South Korean back in his Valencia days. But once again, Paris said no.

PSG Slam the Door on a Transfer

And that no has a name: Luis Enrique. The Paris coach has been categorical internally: there is no question of letting Kang-in Lee leave. Already last summer, when the player was considering a departure, the Spanish coach found the right words to convince him to stay. Since then, their relationship has only grown stronger.

In Luis Enrique’s eyes, Lee is a luxury wild card: versatile, creative, able to play in several positions and perfectly suited to his playing project. As a result, Atlético and Diego Simeone can insist all they want—the case is locked.

Under contract until 2028, Kang-in Lee is absolutely not for sale. A review may come next summer, but the message is crystal clear: PSG will not budge. And Luis Enrique is counting on him more than ever for the continuation of the Parisian project.
