Salary discussions are indeed part of the negotiations, as in any contract renewal, but the best offer made would rank Mayulu as the 19th highest-paid player in the squad, far from the “excessive” figures that have been mentioned.
Most importantly, money has reportedly never been the player’s top priority. In the past, he turned down a more lucrative offer from Borussia Dortmund to sign his first professional contract in Paris. Despite growing interest from several major European clubs, neither he nor his entourage have opened the door to a departure. His priority remains clear: to continue his journey at PSG, where he feels comfortable and maintains an excellent relationship with his coach.
