Now, TyC Sports, a far more reliable source in South America, reports the Brazilian is genuinely considering a departure from Santos… and that OM could be his next destination.
At 33, Neymar went back to his roots in January, rejoining Santos in Brazil. But instead of a fairytale return, the story has soured: disappointing performances, a team stuck in the relegation zone, and increasing pressure from fans have pushed Neymar to rethink his future, says TyC Sports.
Marseille, The Surprise Contender
Enter OM. The idea of Neymar joining PSG’s historic rival seems insane on paper — and yet, according to Fichajes, Marseille are willing to make a financial push to bring him in. That might seem unlikely given the club’s usual budget constraints, but Pablo Longoria has already shown a willingness to break the mold for big names like Aubameyang, Alexis Sanchez, or Kondogbia.
Neymar reportedly earns around €160,000/month at Santos, plus 90% of his image rights, pushing his total monthly income close to €800,000. To join Marseille, he’d have to accept a major pay cut — and in an ironic twist, he’d reunite with Adrien Rabiot, his ex-PSG teammate from 2017 to 2019.

While the initial report felt like clickbait, the backing from TyC Sports adds legitimacy. OM haven’t commented publicly, but internally, some decision-makers would love to pull off such a high-profile move.
