Paris Saint-Germain is experiencing a nightmare: Achraf Hakimi is seriously injured after a tackle from Luis Díaz against Bayern, suffering an ankle injury and potentially out until the end of January. Paris loses one of its leaders… and finds itself without a truly experienced right-back. As a result, the club must recruit during the winter transfer window.
PSG needs reinforcements in defense, especially on the right flank. Hakimi does not have a designated replacement. The name that keeps coming up? Daniel Muñoz, a 29-year-old Colombian full-back from Crystal Palace, solid, reliable, and under contract until 2028.

The Blues have even approached Muñoz’s agents, arguing that he would have more guaranteed playing time than he would find in Paris… especially with Hakimi’s return in the spring. And with eight months until the World Cup, this detail could weigh heavily for the Colombian.
PSG must act quickly to avoid losing a lead considered perfect to fill Hakimi’s absence. Estimated cost of the operation: around 30 million euros. The three-way race has begun. Paris can no longer afford to wait.
