PSG have opened talks to extend Ousmane Dembélé’s contract, which runs until 2028, with an initial oral offer estimated at around €30 million per year.
PSG and Ousmane Dembélé: the end of the road? Foot Mercato and RMC Sport report that negotiations with the Ballon d’Or winner are currently underway, but they are complicated. Paris are said to have put forward a crazy offer of €30 million per year—an astronomical sum… that still wouldn’t be enough.
Contract Talks Hit a Wall
According to Foot Mercato, this amount is deemed insufficient by the player’s camp, who are asking for almost double, pushing any agreement further away. Paris want to revalue him without upsetting their wage structure, while the player is waiting for a status that matches his new stature, without reaching Mbappé’s standards.
A departure at the end of the season? Weakened by a few physical issues, PSG remain cautious with him, but Dembélé has kick-started his 2026 with two starts and a goal in the Trophée des champions against OM.
Performing and ambitious, he hopes to enjoy a second half of the season as successful as the previous one, even if his future in Paris remains uncertain. PSG could consider selling the player at the end of the season.
