Real Madrid is already preparing for a major overhaul in 2026. Even though the squad is one of the best in the world, several stars may request to leave… so the club is considering all scenarios. And PSG feels the threat with Vitinha.
Are Vinicius and Rodrygo on their way out? Real Madrid is determined to extend Vinicius’s contract. But if the Brazilian refuses, Real sees the summer of 2026 as the perfect time to sell him for a high price. The same logic applies to Rodrygo, who could ask to leave if he continues to lack playing time.
Haaland and Vitinha: the two big targets
In the event of significant sales, Real would then activate its “secret agreements” with PSG and Manchester City to recruit Haaland and Vitinha. There is no clause, but a pact: they can leave for a set price if Real Madrid calls, according to Defensa Central. Meanwhile, Liverpool is reportedly ready to offer €130 million for the Portuguese midfielder from PSG.
“They do not have release clauses, but they accepted this arrangement when extending their contracts, which allows them to maintain control over their future,” Defensa Central states. For Erling Haaland, it would even be less: €100 million.
Should we believe this version from the Spanish press? Because according to the French press, Vitinha has no intention of leaving PSG. The Portuguese midfielder, deemed essential by Luis Enrique, is thriving in Paris and sees himself staying long-term.
Having become a key element of the Parisian system thanks to his technical quality and game intelligence, he is considered untouchable by the club, which has no plans to sell him and there would be no secret agreement. Under contract until 2029, Vitinha seems set to be a lasting part of PSG’s project.
