Paris Saint-Germain will have to remain patient over Laciné Megnan-Pavé. Despite interest from the Parisian club and several other major teams, the young player is expected to continue his development at Montpellier this season.
There will be no move to PSG for Laciné Megnan-Pavé this season — or anywhere else away from Montpellier, for that matter. MHSC have no intention of parting ways with their talented youngster during this transfer window. Montpellier are counting on him for the 2026-27 campaign and want to give him the opportunity to continue developing at his boyhood club.
PSG continue to monitor Megnan-Pavé
Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Laciné Megnan-Pavé’s profile in recent weeks. PSG regularly monitor the best young French talents, and the Montpellier prospect is among the players currently being tracked.
However, an immediate departure no longer appears to be the most likely outcome, according to Abdellah Boulma. Despite the interest surrounding him, Montpellier want to keep the player for at least one more season. PSG could still return for him at a later stage.
For now, Megnan-Pavé is therefore expected to remain at MHSC and receive significant playing time before potentially considering a move to a bigger club. There is certainly no need to rush: after all, he is still only 16 years old.
