Ayyoub Bouaddi is leaving Ligue 1 without joining PSG. Lille and Manchester City have reached an agreement for the Frenchman’s transfer, with the deal potentially rising to €100 million including various bonuses.

Manchester City go all in for Bouaddi

The deal had already been well advanced for several weeks. Bouaddi reportedly agreed to join Manchester City back in July and wanted to become part of the Citizens’ project. The only thing left was for the two clubs to reach an agreement, which has now been done. According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Lille have given the green light for their young midfielder to leave.

For PSG, the transfer definitively ends a pursuit that had been followed in recent months. Paris admired Bouaddi’s profile, with the midfielder regarded as one of the most promising young French players of his generation.

However, with a deal that could reach €100 million, Manchester City have made a major financial commitment to beat the competition and secure the LOSC midfielder.
