Paris Saint-Germain is closely monitoring Swedish striker Victor Gyökeres, currently at Sporting CP, but faces stiff competition.
The 25-year-old, under contract with Sporting until 2028, has drawn attention with his impressive goal and assist record. PSG is among the top clubs interested, along with two Premier League teams, according to CaughtOffside.
Following offensive struggles in the Champions League, the pursuit of Gyökeres has resurfaced. However, Sporting CP is asking for €100 million, complicating negotiations, as noted by journalist Ekrem Konur.
Gyökeres to PSG Next Summer ?
Despite the interest, Le Parisien reports that Luis Enrique has not endorsed this option. The coach seems satisfied with Gonçalo Ramos, viewing him as the ideal “number 9” for his project. As for Kolo Muani, Enrique believes he has yet to reach the technical level of his teammates.
Gyökeres is likely to leave in the summer, with sources indicating that Chelsea, Tottenham, and PSG are the leading contenders. Tottenham appears to be the most aggressive suitor, while Chelsea might pursue Victor Osimhen again in January or next summer. PSG admires Gyökeres but will only make a move if they decide to part ways with either Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani at the end of the season, which remains uncertain, according to CaughtOffside.
