This information circulated after his huge anger during the Clasico and his supposed fallout with Xabi Alonso. But the Brazilian has just broken his silence.
Before this, the fire seemed uncontrollable. Annoyed by his substitution against Barcelona, Vinicius exploded, sulked, left the pitch furious, and, according to several media outlets, threatened to leave if Xabi remained in charge. His relationship with the coach was described as “irrevocably broken.”
In this tense context, Paris appeared as the number one option: a game tailored for him, Luis Enrique whom he respects, a new adventure away from the “Mbappé preference” criticized by his coach.
But Vinicius calms (partly) the situation
This Wednesday, the Madrid winger finally spoke, via a message posted on his social media. And his reaction directly targets the excitement surrounding his future:
“Today, I want to apologize to all the Real Madrid supporters for my reaction when I was substituted during the Clasico. As I have already done in person during training, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president. Sometimes, my passion takes over: I always want to win and help my team. My competitive spirit comes from the love I have for this club and everything it represents. I promise to continue fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since day one,” he wrote on social media.
A clear mea culpa, which seems to want to extinguish the flames… without completely dispelling all doubts.
A calming… but not yet a total denial?
Vinicius does not mention his long-term future, the tensions with Xabi Alonso, or the rumors linking him to PSG. He apologizes for his attitude but does not close the door to a departure. His contract runs until 2027, with no extension in sight, and he remains in a strong position after the 2026 World Cup. On one hand, he reassures. On the other, he leaves the mystery hanging.
And in the meantime… PSG is watching: In Paris, they are closely following the situation. Luis Enrique greatly appreciates his profile, and the club is looking for a forward.
