During the Thinking Football Summit in Porto, Luis Campos, the sporting advisor of PSG, addressed the rumors surrounding Lamine Yamal.
The speculation about Lamine Yamal joining PSG lingered throughout last summer. After a fantastic Euro 2024, culminating in Spain’s victory, the young Barcelona prodigy was linked to PSG. However, Yamal ultimately stayed at Barcelona, and according to PSG’s sporting advisor, this link was never real.
“If all the players rumored to be linked with PSG were actually here, we’d have five stars at every position. We only need two. Of course, I like Lamine Yamal, but also players like Dembélé, Barcola, Kang In-Lee, Marco Asensio, Gonçalo Ramos… Fantastic players with tremendous quality, let’s not forget,” Campos said.
“A Huge Mistake”
“It would be a huge mistake to say that Lamine Yamal isn’t a great player. He’s an excellent footballer, and I’m very happy to see him performing at such a high level,” Campos added.
