Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on one of their top defensive targets. Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old center-back from Bournemouth, is set to join the French champions.
According to BBC Sport, PSG and Bournemouth have reached an agreement worth around €60 million. While some final details still need to be ironed out, the deal is reportedly very close to completion.
Finalized next week?
“The details are still being discussed,” says the BBC, adding that both clubs are continuing negotiations. With PSG set to resume training on August 4, the club wants to finalize the transfer quickly.
So far, there’s been no official confirmation from Bournemouth, PSG, or Zabarnyi himself — so caution is still advised. But after months of negotiations, Paris may finally get their man. The Ukrainian defender has long been a target, especially with the Club World Cup on the horizon.
