Paris Saint-Germain will sport a star above their crest to mark their Champions League triumph—but only during the Club World Cup. Beyond that, nothing is set in stone, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi revealed.
Speaking on C dans l’air on France 5, Al-Khelaïfi confirmed that the club will wear the star during the Club World Cup—a tribute to their historic first European title, clinched this season against Borussia Dortmund. “It’s a beautiful star, but the name of the club is bigger than any logo,” he said.
Still undecided for next season
While the star will feature during the Club World Cup, PSG has yet to make a final decision about including it on next season’s kits. The club wants to remain humble despite this milestone achievement.
A symbol that already resonates
The special-edition shirt featuring the star has already sold out in stores, reflecting the excitement among fans. Whether the club chooses to make it a permanent part of their identity—or a one-off tribute—remains to be seen.
