PSG looks set for a change in goal next season. Head coach Luis Enrique has made his choice: Lucas Chevalier. And the player has already given the green light.
According to L’Équipe and Foot Mercato, Luis Enrique recently spoke with the LOSC goalkeeper via FaceTime, personally expressing his desire to bring him into the Paris project. Convinced by the coach’s words, Chevalier has agreed to join PSG and has informed Lille of his decision to take the next step in his career.
Negotiations between the two clubs are progressing well and are being handled directly by club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Internally, PSG has validated an offer of around €40 million.
Donnarumma future in doubt
This move could spell the end for Gianluigi Donnarumma in Paris. Talks over a contract extension are currently at a standstill. The Italian keeper, under contract until June 2026, is not keen on PSG’s latest offer — €7 million fixed salary plus €3 million in bonuses — a drop from his current €10 million salary.
With no agreement in sight, Donnarumma’s departure is becoming increasingly likely. PSG wants to wrap up the Chevalier deal quickly. Another strong move in the summer rebuild.
