Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio are edging closer to a permanent move to Fenerbahçe, but there’s one last obstacle: an unpaid down payment.
The Turkish club and PSG have already agreed on the transfers, according to SportsDigitale, but the deals are temporarily on hold due to a delay in the first instalment.
Skriniar, still in Paris… taking taxis
Skriniar, 30, joined PSG in 2023 from Inter Milan but never established himself in the French capital. Loaned to Fenerbahçe for the second half of last season, he impressed — and now wants to stay in Turkey.
L’Équipe reports that he’s currently back in Paris, training with PSG’s reserves. With the deal still pending, he’s living in a hotel and coming to training by taxi. PSG and Fenerbahçe are expected to finalize the transfer soon, for around €10M.
Asensio also set to leave
Marco Asensio is also included in the deal. The Spanish forward, also part of the “undesirables list”, looks set to continue his career away from Paris — pending resolution of this financial hiccup.
Once the down payment issue is resolved, both players should be officially unveiled by Fenerbahçe. PSG, meanwhile, continues its clear-out.
