Paris Saint-Germain have made a firm decision regarding their right-back position for the upcoming season — and it’s all down to head coach Luis Enrique.
According to Le Parisien, PSG will not sign a backup for Achraf Hakimi this summer. Instead, the Spanish manager plans to rely on the versatility of Warren Zaïre-Emery (19) and João Neves (21) to cover the role if the Moroccan star is unavailable.
This choice reflects Enrique’s minimalist transfer strategy. The club is expected to make only two or three signings in total, opting to strengthen internally rather than stack the squad with pure backups.
It’s a clear signal: hybrid profiles and tactical flexibility are the priority in Paris.
