To open Matchday 8, PSG were held to a 3–3 draw by Strasbourg, despite a perfect start from Bradley Barcola. While Paris managed to fight back, their defensive lapses left Luis Enrique visibly irritated.
“I can’t be happy after conceding three goals,” the Spanish coach admitted. “We’ll analyse everything — the end of the first half was catastrophic after our strong start.”
A clear message: the attack delivered, but the defence fell apart.
“Strasbourg are one of the best teams to come to the Parc”
Despite the frustration, Luis Enrique praised the visitors: “Strasbourg are one of the best teams we’ve faced this season. I love their intensity and collective play.”
Aware of the post-international fatigue, he also justified certain management choices: “We had to control workloads. Our fans deserved better — but that’s football.”
Strasbourg, currently second in Ligue 1, left perhaps the strongest impression seen at the Parc des Princes this season.
