PSG announces a major absence against Lorient

PSG is on a roll! Three days after their victory in Brest, the Parisian club remains in Brittany to face Lorient, aiming to extend their lead at the top of the standings over OM and Lens.

PSG does not want another wave of injuries. Maximum caution is required as Paris will have to do without Achraf Hakimi, who has been rested until next Thursday. The Moroccan full-back, heavily relied upon in recent weeks, will not travel to Lorient.

“In agreement with the sports management and the technical staff, Achraf Hakimi is being rested. He will resume collective training next Thursday,” announces PSG.

Luis Enrique may assign the right flank to Warren Zaïre-Emery, or even give a first appearance to the 16-year-old talent David Boly, who is already training with the first team.

Good news, however: Fabian Ruiz is expected to return to collective training, while João Neves remains uncertain but is close to rejoining the group.
