Paris Saint-Germain cruised past Brest 3–0, and Luis Enrique couldn’t be happier. In his post-match press conference, the Spanish boss heaped praise on Achraf Hakimi, who bagged a brace.
“It’s obvious, he’s the best right-back in the world,” Enrique said with a grin, even comparing him to Dani Alves.
The coach hailed his team’s attacking energy and lauded the defensive backbone led by Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, and young Pacho.
Ruiz and Neves “Home with a Beer”
When asked about injuries, Luis Enrique turned comedian. “They’re at home, resting… with a bit of water, or maybe a beer!” he joked about Fabian Ruiz and João Neves. The coach also shared optimism over Ousmane Dembélé’s return to form after two short cameos. “We’re not rushing it. He’ll be at 100% very soon.” Enrique stressed the importance of rotating his squad as the fixtures pile up, calling it “a luxury to have so much quality.”
“The League’s a Marathon”
Despite reclaiming top spot in Ligue 1, Enrique refused to get carried away. “The league is a marathon — you can sprint the first 10 kilometers, but it’s the last 42 that count,” he warned. Calm and confident, the Spaniard insisted PSG’s focus is on consistency and recovery, not headlines. With Hakimi dazzling and the squad finally finding rhythm, it looks like Paris are back on track, beer or no beer!
