Big Discomfort in PSG Locker Room, Kvaratskhelia Lets It All Out

Exhausted, frustrated, worn out by the relentless pace: after the defeat against Bayern, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia sounded the alarm. Like several Parisian players, the Georgian winger acknowledged that fatigue is seriously weighing on the PSG squad.

Already shaken by Bayern’s pressing in the first half, PSG never managed to turn the tide despite having a numerical advantage after Luis Diaz’s red card.

In the mixed zone, Kvaratskhelia did not make excuses, but his remarks confirmed the physical discomfort that is affecting the locker room. “The start was very bad for us,” he admitted, adding that the two goals conceded due to mistakes “must be analyzed.” But it is especially his observation about the players’ condition that is concerning: even reduced to ten men, Bayern were physically superior to them.

“It’s our job. We have no choice.”

The Georgian then described a suffocating schedule: “Every three days, there is a match, and we have to recover very quickly. It’s difficult. When you have minor aches, you have to deal with it. It’s football, it’s our job. We have no choice.” Kvaratskhelia did not hide that the repetition of matches is taking a heavy toll on his body and that of his teammates.

With minor injuries, lack of recovery, and constant pressure, signs of fatigue are accumulating, and PSG, already affected by a cascade of injuries, is clearly starting to feel the strain.
