Out of contract with Bayern Munich in June 2026, Dayot Upamecano is attracting several top clubs, including PSG, which has already contacted his entourage. Bayern is trying to extend the contract of the 26-year-old defender and is actively negotiating, but if no agreement is reached, Paris is ready to make him a significant offer.
Starting January 1, 2026, Upamecano will be able to sign a pre-agreement with the club of his choice. PSG, like Real Madrid and other European giants, intends to take advantage of this opportunity to recruit one of the best defenders in the world for free.
According to RMC, Paris already has a proposal ready, especially since his agent Moussa Sissoko has very good relations with the club (agent of Dembélé, Barcola, Doué, Kolo Muani…). Upamecano thus finds himself in a strong position: either he extends with Bayern, or he leaves for free with an offer from PSG on the table.

Dayot Upamecano says he loves the PSG under Luis Enrique. “Paris Saint-Germain is a very, very big club, with a great coach and wonderful players,” Upamecano said before the match between France and Ukraine at the Parc des Princes.
“But for now, I’m not focused on that. I’m concentrating on Bayern Munich and the French national team. The season is still long, I have an agent for that. The Parc des Princes? My family will be at the stadium (before France/Ukraine, ed.), I am French. I also feel at home at Bayern and in Germany. It’s not the stadium that makes me feel at home,” he added.
