Randal Kolo Muani will indeed be on the opposing side on Wednesday night. The forward, loaned by PSG to Tottenham, is allowed to play against his club in the Champions League. Good news for the Spurs… much less so for Paris.
No clause was included in the contract to prevent RKM from facing his former team. As a result, the Frenchman is free to cause trouble for the Parisian defense. And we know how much loaned players can shine when they face their old club…
As revealed by L’Équipe, Paris has made no plans to protect itself from its own attacker. No special plan, no adaptation. We will soon find out if Kolo Muani still holds the key to the Parisian vault… and perhaps the desire to send a message to Luis Enrique.
PSG without an anti-Kolo Muani plan
The Spanish coach, however, remains measured. “I can’t say anything about Kolo Muani, he is an international player, of very high level,” he said. “It’s difficult for many players to be important in a team of this level. Of course, he has the level to be important in any team, but it’s hard to value or analyze that.”
There is also caution from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who knows the danger well. “We know him. He’s a very good player, very dangerous in attack. He has shown that he deserves to be here. We need to be attentive with him and try to stop him.” RKM against PSG: an explosive scenario, with no safety nets. Paris has been warned.
