Ousmane Dembélé is back in the PSG squad to face Tottenham this Wednesday (9 p.m.) in the Champions League. Three weeks after suffering a calf injury against Bayern, the 28-year-old winger is finally ready to return.
Dembélé isn’t expected to start, but Luis Enrique plans to give him minutes in the second half, an extra offensive weapon capable of shaking up the match.
But his return comes with a surprise setback on the other side: Renato Marin, included in the squad for the first four Champions League rounds, has been ruled out. According to L’Équipe, the 19-year-old goalkeeper felt a muscular discomfort in training and was sidelined as a precaution.
The backup to the backup is out
To replace him, Luis Enrique has promoted a very young talent: 17-year-old Martin James, now the third goalkeeper behind Chevalier and Safonov. A notable moment for the teenager, who could find himself on a Champions League bench at just 17.
