PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi was indeed at the Parc des Princes for PSG–Tottenham… despite having his arm immobilized in a sling.
This season seems to spare no one. After the wave of player injuries and Luis Enrique’s bike crash, it’s now the club president who has been sidelined. As he arrived for the Champions League Matchday 5 clash, Al-Khelaïfi appeared with a visibly injured arm.
According to La Source Parisienne, the PSG chairman hurt himself while playing padel. Doctors reportedly advised immediate surgery, but Al-Khelaïfi refused in order not to miss the game.
500 matches for his captain
His presence carried symbolic weight, as the evening marked Marquinhos’ 500th appearance for PSG. A moment that Al-Khelaïfi didn’t want to miss, seen by many as another sign of his unwavering commitment to the club and its iconic captain.
