PSG has found Hakimi’s replacement, it’s confirmed

Paris Saint-Germain is already exploring several options for the upcoming summer transfer window, and the name of Alberto Costa is circulating in the capital. At 22 years old, the right-back from FC Porto, under contract until 2030, is indeed on Paris’s radar, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.

A backup for Hakimi has been on PSG’s mind since last summer. Paris did not find the ideal profile during the summer transfer window but will revisit the matter next summer.

“PSG is monitoring Porto’s right-back Alberto Costa for the summer transfer window,” journalist Nicolo Schira stated. However, it is important to remain very cautious. At this stage, it is only a matter of gathering information and not an advanced case.

No offer has been made, let alone the beginning of negotiations or an agreement. PSG is simply multiplying potential options to strengthen its squad, and this lead may very well never materialize.

Only next summer

Between the player’s choices, those of Porto, and Paris’s strategy, the road is still long. It is a case to watch, but without getting carried away. For now, PSG is relying on Warren Zaïre Emery in this position. And rightly so. The young Frenchman has adapted perfectly to this role.
