The hero of the night with a brace off the bench, Désiré Doué logically received unanimous praise in the press, while the Paris defense drew more mixed reviews. Unsurprisingly, Doué is the big winner in the evaluations. Le Parisien gave him 8.5, L’Équipe 8, and VIPSG went as high as 9, praising an appearance that completely changed the match. Hakimi is also highly rated everywhere (6, 7, and 7.5), rewarded for his goal and overall activity. Zaïre-Emery also comes out well, especially with L’Équipe (7) and VIPSG (7), slightly lower in Le Parisien (5).
Mixed Midfield Reviews and Harsh Defensive Scores
In midfield, opinions are more divided. Vitinha paid the price for his missed penalty: 5 from Le Parisien, 4 from L’Équipe, and 5 from VIPSG.
