Dembélé Injured: The Nightmare Scenario for PSG

After conceding two early goals, PSG found themselves in serious trouble and also lost Ousmane Dembélé amid the chaos. However, Paris managed to respond in the first leg of their Champions League playoff against Monaco.

Suffering from a left calf issue and already doubtful before kickoff, 2025 Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé had to come off in the 26th minute, limping with his head down, adding another blow to what was turning into a nightmare night for Paris.

Doué Turns the Game Around for Paris

In a twist of fate, his substitute Désiré Doué completely changed the match, but concern is growing around Dembélé’s condition ahead of the return leg.

Trailing 2–0, the Parisians still managed to react: despite a missed penalty from Vitinha, they pulled one back before halftime and then took control in the second half after Golovin was sent off. Doué, who scored twice, secured a 3–2 victory for PSG, giving them a narrow advantage before the return match at the Parc des Princes.
