PSG. Luis Enrique Still Refuses This €150M Striker

Still searching for attacking solutions, PSG continues to look for the right formula up front. Yet despite the doubts surrounding its offensive sector this season, the Parisian club will not recruit one of the most feared strikers in Europe.

PSG has once again closed the door on Victor Osimhen. Luis Enrique, the Parisian coach, clearly does not want him. According to Foot Mercato, the Spanish manager has vetoed the striker’s arrival, despite him being linked to a move to Paris in almost every transfer window.

Luis Enrique Blocks Osimhen Move

The Spanish coach is reportedly not convinced by the Nigerian forward’s profile, believing he does not fit his vision of the game. And yet PSG is indeed looking for a number 9. Without a true center-forward this season, Luis Enrique has alternated between Barcola, Dembélé, Ramos and Mayulu in that role, but none have truly convinced.

Beyond the coach’s sporting refusal, the deal also appears extremely expensive for PSG. With a transfer fee estimated at around €150 million and a salary close to €20 million net per year, the option of signing the former Lille striker now seems definitively ruled out.
