Unai Emery refuses to pick a side before the final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. Having coached both clubs in the past, the current Aston Villa FC manager is expecting a huge battle this Saturday in Budapest.
Emery clearly does not want to take any risks with his prediction. May the best team win, says the former PSG and Gunners coach.
A Completely Open Champions League Final
For the Spanish manager, it is impossible to name a real favorite ahead of this UEFA Champions League final. Emery believes both teams are arriving with very strong arguments and plenty of confidence.
“Today, PSG are probably the best team in the world collectively, with what I believe is currently the best coach,” the former Paris manager told L’Équipe. But he also praised the work done by Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, describing the English side as “extremely competitive.”
In the end, Emery sees this clash as totally unpredictable. “Both teams deserve to be in the final. For me, it’s 50-50,” the Spanish coach concluded.
