Bradley Barcola’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is becoming increasingly uncertain. Signed from Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2023, the French forward has established himself in the Paris rotation and with the France national team, but he is reportedly still unhappy with his role in the biggest matches.
Barcola will not do everything possible to force his way out of Paris, even though leaving remains his main objective this summer. Under contract until June 2028, the 23-year-old has reportedly rejected an extension offer from PSG. A transfer is now being considered during the current window, with Liverpool gradually making progress in negotiations.
Liverpool and PSG Remain Far Apart on the Transfer Fee
According to L’Équipe, Barcola has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Liverpool. The France international would like to play in the Premier League next season, but he does not intend to enter into a conflict with PSG to secure his transfer. Liverpool reportedly made an initial verbal offer worth around €100 million, which was immediately rejected by the Parisian club.
PSG are said to be demanding more than €150 million, including bonuses, to allow their winger to leave, while Liverpool have set a maximum budget of €120 million. The gap between the two clubs therefore remains significant, although discussions have not broken down and the parties involved are reportedly still confident that an agreement can be reached.
Barcola’s representative, Moussa Sissoko, is continuing negotiations in an attempt to bring the two positions closer together. Nasser Al-Khelaifi is also expected to become involved and speak directly with Liverpool’s executives and owners. The two clubs share a minority shareholder in Arctos, which could help facilitate talks. Despite his agreement with Liverpool, Barcola will not force his departure and will respect Paris Saint-Germain’s final decision.
