PSG and Barcelona Move Closer to a Deal

Initial contacts were made with Barcelona to officially communicate PSG’s interest in Ferran Torres. Paris had not initially submitted a formal bid, but Luis Campos had already started laying the groundwork. The situation then accelerated after Torres gave the green light to a move to the French capital, with his representatives receiving a concrete proposal from PSG. If the transfer goes through, the Spain international is expected to sign a five-year contract.

According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, discussions between PSG and Barcelona have intensified in recent hours. A fee of around €50 million had already been mentioned as the basis for a compromise, and the two clubs’ positions are now said to have moved significantly closer. A final agreement has not yet been officially announced, but negotiations are reportedly focused on the remaining details.

After signing Maghnes Akliouche and Lucas Digne, PSG could therefore continue strengthening their attacking options with Ferran Torres. Paris hope to complete the deal quickly, while the Spaniard has already made it clear that he is open to joining the club. Barring another twist, Torres has never appeared closer to leaving Barcelona for PSG.
