Paris Saint-Germain has been heavily sanctioned by the French labor court in the dispute opposing the club to Kylian Mbappé. The ruling was delivered this Tuesday and leaves no room for doubt: the Parisian club has been dismissed from all of its claims.
The judges ordered PSG to pay several tens of millions of euros to its former player: 55 million euros plus paid leave. The total amount, including salaries and paid leave, is close to 61 million euros according to Kylian Mbappé’s lawyers. Enforcement of the judgment is immediate, even though the club still has the option to appeal.
PSG Sanctioned in the Mbappé Legal Dispute
Beyond the financial aspect, the labor court also imposed a symbolic but powerful measure: PSG must publish the full ruling for one month on the homepage of its official website. This rare decision is intended to publicly highlight the club’s conviction.
As a reminder, during the hearing last November, PSG was claiming 440 million euros from its former striker, while the Mbappé camp was demanding 263 million euros.
At the end of the hearing, the player’s lawyers expressed their “very great satisfaction,” believing that the court had clearly ruled in favor of their client.
