Tensions flared off the pitch during PSG’s shock 0–1 loss to Botafogo in the Club World Cup, as a violent scuffle erupted in the stands of the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation involved Botafogo supporters and PSG fans, reportedly from Central America. While the exact cause of the clash remains unclear, video footage shows the situation escalating quickly before several bystanders stepped in to separate the groups.
Security staff arrived shortly after to restore order, and fortunately, the incident did not disrupt the match. However, the images have sparked concern, once again highlighting the darker side of football fandom on a stage meant to celebrate the global game.
