On Sunday night, PSG host Lens for Matchday 4 of Ligue 1. Luis Enrique, still recovering from collarbone surgery, hopes to be on the bench despite lingering uncertainty over his presence. But on the pitch, another concern has emerged.
Fabian Ruiz did not take part in group training on Thursday, staying indoors for individual work. The Spaniard is now very doubtful for the match, with the staff preferring not to risk him ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Atalanta. He had already been rested by the Spanish national team during the international break.
Kvaratskhelia ready, reinforcements expected
The good news for Enrique is that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has resumed full training and should be available, along with youngster Senny Mayulu, who is close to returning to the squad.
While Ruiz’s absence would be a blow, PSG can count on key reinforcements. The team will, however, still be without Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué, both injured with France. Their return is expected in about 8 and 4 weeks respectively.
