Only 3 players at training – and no coach, a PSG record

PSG’s return to work after four days off was unusually quiet. On Thursday at the Campus, just three players – Lucas Beraldo, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Senny Mayulu – took part in training, according to L’Équipe.

Most of the squad, away on international duty, were granted an extra day of rest. Fabian Ruiz, sidelined by physical discomfort and spared by Spain, stayed indoors for recovery work.

Luis Enrique also absent

Coach Luis Enrique was missing too, still recovering from a broken collarbone after his cycling accident in Spain. His assistant Rafael Pol led the session instead.

In theory, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé – injured with France – could have been present, but both remained at home. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was also given additional rest days.

The Parisians will need to pick up the pace quickly: Lens visit the Parc des Princes on Sunday, before the Champions League clash with Atalanta on Wednesday.
