Hit by a new wave of injuries against Bayern (1-2), PSG continues to deal with a squad that is never complete. Luis Enrique refuses to use it as an excuse… while clearly pointing out the impact of these absences.
After the early exits of Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé against Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique acknowledged that physical issues weigh heavily on Parisian performances this season.
Without hiding behind these injuries, the Spaniard claims to have “never had all his players fit at the same time,” a fact that complicates his work and weakens the team in major matches.
Never the same team since the start of the season
“I am not looking for any excuses. We must accept that the opponent is superior. I am calm and relaxed because I know we will overcome all this. I am waiting to get all my players back. Since the start of the season, I have never had all my players fit at the same time. We knew this could happen. It is time to know who is on our side and who is not,” the Spaniard stated at the press conference.
Despite the defeat, the PSG coach remains calm and confident about his team’s ability to overcome this period. He emphasizes the need to accept Bayern’s superiority that evening, while now waiting to know the duration of Hakimi and Dembélé’s unavailability, two key players who fell at the worst possible moment.
