PSG vs Bayern: Marquinhos and Hakimi Criticized, Press Ratings

Defeated 2-1 by Bayern at the Parc des Princes, the Parisians logically received harsh ratings in the press. Between a poor first half, individual errors, and a few isolated bright spots, Le Parisien and L’Équipe present a contrasting assessment… but overall consistent.

As often happens after a European underperformance, the ratings released on Tuesday night did not spare PSG. Both Le Parisien and L’Équipe mainly penalize the individual shortcomings of the first half: Marquinhos, involved in both goals, receives a 3 and then a 2; Hakimi, despite being injured, also scores very low.

The midfield fares slightly better, with Ruiz struggling and Vitinha limited by Bayern’s pressing. In contrast, Lee Kang-in receives unanimous praise: 6.5 from Le Parisien, 7 from L’Équipe, one of the few Parisians performing at a decent level.

The logic is similar in defense and on the flanks: Nuno Mendes disappoints, Barcola receives relatively favorable ratings despite a messy performance, while Pacho remains one of the most consistent players.

Overall, the severity mainly reflects a first act where Paris struggled due to avoidable mistakes. The more accomplished second half was not enough to rebalance the ratings, but it confirms that this PSG can do better… provided they drastically reduce individual errors.

Le Parisien:

Kvaratkshelia (4) – Barcola (4) – Lee (6.5)
Ruiz (5) – Vitinha (4) – Zaïre-Emery (4)
Nuno Mendes (3) – Pacho (4) – Marquinhos (3) – Hakimi (3)
Chevalier (4)
Mayulu (5)

L’Équipe:

Luis Enrique – 3
Kvaratkshelia (3) – Barcola (4) – Lee (7)
Ruiz (3) – Vitinha (4) – Zaïre-Emery (4)
Nuno Mendes (3) – Pacho (4) – Marquinhos (2) – Hakimi (3)
Chevalier (5)
