Previously mocked on social media for his perceived fragility, the Brazilian defender is now showing greater confidence and authority within the PSG squad. His captaincy, reaffirmed last season by a player vote, highlights the trust he has regained.

According to L’Équipe, Marquinhos has taken a more proactive role within the team.
