PSG has been ruled against in the dispute opposing it to Kylian Mbappé. The Real Madrid forward will receive around €61 million from his former club, corresponding to unpaid salaries and bonuses. At this stage, PSG has not filed an appeal and says it wants to move on.
In a statement published on Tuesday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain reacted to the decision ruled in favor of its former player. “Paris Saint-Germain takes note of the judgment handed down by the Paris Labor Court, which it will comply with, while reserving the right to appeal. Paris Saint-Germain has always acted in good faith and with integrity, and will continue to do so.”
PSG Reacts to the Mbappé Court Decision
“The club is now looking toward the future, built on unity and collective success, and wishes the player all the best for the rest of his career,” added the club from the French capital.
On the other side, Kylian Mbappé’s lawyers expressed their satisfaction. “We are very satisfied. This is a victory we have been waiting for a long time. This is the third time this ruling has been confirmed,” they said. “For 18 months, Kylian Mbappé has been asking for the same thing: payment of his salaries and bonus for the work he had done. The first two times, the club did not want to pay because it was waiting for a labor court decision—and now, here it is,” said one of the player’s lawyers, as quoted by RMC Sport.
