While in the U.S. for the Club World Cup, PSG executives were left starry-eyed after visiting the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles — and it’s now the gold standard for their own stadium ambitions. Priced at around €5 billion (£4.25B), the Californian marvel is more than just a venue: it’s a tech-savvy entertainment complex.

“With its 70,000 seats, retractable roof, suspended 360° screen, and revenue-boosting features, it’s a model of the future,” said PSG General Secretary Victoriano Melero to Reuters.

Parc des Princes exit looms

The club is expected to abandon the Parc des Princes, with plans advancing for a futuristic home in either Massy or Poissy.

Poissy pushing hard

Poissy’s bid gains traction thanks to the planned T13 tramway extension, which would directly link fans to the new site (former Stellantis grounds). Île-de-France President Valérie Pécresse voiced strong support: “Poissy is becoming a regional capital — we’re already planning a transport strategy for it.”

PSG now face a crucial decision: stay rooted in history or break ground on a bold, California-inspired future — and potentially redefine the European stadium experience.
