PSG: Cyrille Carrière exits as Head of Development, Manuel Pires tipped to take over.
The Paris Saint-Germain Academy is undergoing a shake-up, with Cyrille Carrière stepping down as Director of Youth Development and Pre-Academy Training.
After weeks of discussions, an agreement has been reached for his departure.
A New Strategic Direction
PSG cites a shift in its academy vision as the reason for parting ways with Carrière. The club is looking to restructure its youth development approach, aiming for a more streamlined and competitive pathway for young talents.
To replace him, Manuel Pires (54), former head of Nice’s academy, is a strong contender. Currently without a club, Pires could bring his extensive experience in player development to PSG’s setup.
