Paris Saint-Germain continues to see several academy graduates move on to new opportunities. After a series of departures in recent weeks, it is now Yanis Khafi who is preparing to leave the French champions.
With his youth contract coming to an end, the 20-year-old midfielder had to make a decision about his future and choose the first destination of his professional career. It now appears that his choice has been made.
Khafi Chooses Italy for Next Step
According to Foot Mercato, the young Parisian will continue his career in Italy. Khafi is expected to join Carrarese, a Serie B side that finished a respectable 12th in the league last season.
Although he never made his first-team debut for PSG, Khafi had still managed to catch the attention of Luis Enrique. Last September, the Spanish coach included him in the squad for a Ligue 1 match against Auxerre.
He remained on the bench that day and ultimately never wore the PSG shirt in an official competition. Italy now offers him the chance to launch his professional career and take the next step away from the Parc des Princes.
