AS Roma must sell players before the end of June in order to balance its finances. Among the names most likely to leave the club this summer, Manu Koné continues to attract significant attention.
Manu Koné may dream of joining PSG, but does PSG dream of signing Manu Koné? After an impressive season in Rome, the 25-year-old French international has caught the eye of several top Premier League clubs. Arsenal and Chelsea are both closely monitoring the former Toulouse midfielder, who is regarded as one of the most attractive options available in his position.
PSG Not Interested in the Midfielder
According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Koné has a very clear preference for his future: a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder is said to have dreamed of playing for the French champions for several years and views such a transfer as a major step in his career.
However, the interest does not appear to be mutual. PSG insider Djamel has confirmed that while Koné is eager to join the club, Paris have never seriously pursued the deal. Despite the recurring transfer rumors linking him with PSG in recent years, the French midfielder is not considered a priority target for either Luis Campos or Luis Enrique.
Unless there is a late surprise, Koné’s future is therefore more likely to be written in the Premier League than in the French capital, with English clubs currently showing the strongest interest in securing his signature.
