Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is still up in the air. As the Club World Cup heats up, the Italian goalkeeper is negotiating a contract extension — with his current deal running until 2026.
“No problem,” says Donnarumma… but talks are ongoing
Speaking after Wednesday’s match, Donnarumma reassured fans but remained cautious: “We’re moving forward, my agent is speaking with the club. I’m focused on the games, on winning the trophy. There’s no problem.”
He added: “I always give 100% for this club and for the fans. PSG gave me everything — playing here is incredible.”
Salary gap causing delay
According to multiple sources, Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, is asking for €13 million per year (£11M). PSG, however, are offering €8 million + €2 million in bonuses (£6.8M + £1.7M), leaving a significant gap.
Despite his strong performances, PSG are reluctant to meet such demands. If talks collapse, Lille’s Lucas Chevalier is being eyed as a possible replacement.
A decision is expected soon — and it could shift the direction of PSG’s summer.
