According to Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old attacking midfielder is becoming increasingly open to a move during the upcoming transfer window. His limited playing time in the biggest matches has reportedly strengthened his desire to seek a new challenge.
Kang-In Lee Ready for a New Challenge
The clearest sign may have come during the Champions League final against Arsenal. Despite the significance of the occasion, Kang-In Lee did not play a single minute. That situation is believed to have convinced the player that securing the prominent role he desires at the reigning European champions will be difficult.
Atlético Madrid have been closely monitoring his situation for several months. The Spanish club already attempted to sign him during the winter transfer window and could return with a new offer this summer. The main obstacle remains PSG’s asking price, reportedly around €50 million, a figure Atlético hope to negotiate down.
Under contract until 2028, Kang-In Lee remains highly regarded across Europe. However, with the World Cup approaching, his priority is regular playing time. After two seasons as part of PSG’s rotation, the former Mallorca player appears closer than ever to an exit, and this time the Parisian club may be willing to listen to offers.
