Luis Enrique would reportedly like to reunite with Gavi at Paris Saint-Germain. According to the Spanish press, the Barcelona midfielder is among the players who could interest the Parisian club, with his playing time having decreased in Catalonia. Reports have even mentioned a possible opening bid of around €50 million, although this information should be treated with caution.

Luis Enrique could once again turn his attention to his former club. Having coached Gavi with the Spanish national team, the PSG boss is still believed to be a huge admirer of the midfielder. According to El Nacional, Paris could be a possible destination for the Spain international, with Luis Enrique reportedly prepared to give him an important role in his team.

Gavi’s Reduced Role at Barcelona Fuels PSG Rumours

The player’s current situation is fuelling the speculation. Gavi has slipped down the pecking order at Barcelona, and his lack of playing time could become a problem if it continues. A move could allow the Spanish midfielder to take on greater responsibility elsewhere. In Paris, he would also reunite with Luis Enrique, who knows him extremely well after giving him a major role with Spain at a very young age.

A figure of €50 million has been mentioned as a possible opening offer from PSG. However, caution is required: no official €50 million bid has been confirmed by any leading source. A deal would also be difficult because Gavi is tied to Barcelona for the long term. He extended his contract in January 2025 and is now under contract until June 2030, meaning Barça are under absolutely no pressure to sell him.

For now, Gavi to PSG remains a potential transfer target rather than an advanced deal. But if his situation at Barcelona does not improve, his name could become one to watch during future transfer windows. That could be particularly relevant as Fabian Ruiz’s contract runs until 2029, potentially opening the door to a departure one year before it expires, or even as early as next summer.
