Paris Saint-Germain may have to rethink their strategy in the pursuit of Michael Olise. The French international has been heavily linked with the Ligue 1 champions for several weeks, while Real Madrid have also shown strong interest. However, the Bayern Munich winger now appears to have a very different priority.
According to Bild, Olise’s representatives have sent highly positive signals to Bayern Munich’s hierarchy. The former Crystal Palace star is reportedly eager to extend his contract with the Bundesliga champions, with formal negotiations expected to begin after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Olise’s Future Remains Uncertain
This development has also complicated Real Madrid’s plans. According to AS, the Spanish giants are beginning to accept that signing Olise this summer will be extremely difficult. They have reportedly shifted their focus toward Enzo Fernandez instead. A plan involving Kylian Mbappé, who was expected to convince his France teammate to move to the Santiago Bernabéu after the World Cup, had even been considered.
Does this mean the case is closed for PSG? Not necessarily. Even if Olise signs a new deal with Bayern, a future transfer could still happen if the German club receives an exceptional offer. For now, though, the French winger appears determined to continue his journey in Bavaria rather than make the switch to either Paris or Madrid.
